Grant will lead the voice cast for “Gossamer,” an animated series adaptation of Lois Lowry’s novel.The eight-part, half-hour animated series is produced by BRON Media’s virtual production and service company BRON Digital, which develops premium animation, interactive games and movies using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine.Rounding out the cast for “Gossamer” is  Wilmer Valderrama, Alanna Masterson and Courtney Rosemont, who makes her debut.“Gossamer” is based on the young adult novel by Lowry, whose books include “The Giver” and “The Willoughbys” — the latter of which was previously adapted by BRON as an animated feature for Netflix.

With The Willoughbys, writer/director Kris Pearn adapted a beloved children’s book of the same name by Lois Lowry, looking to be as faithful as possible to the “subversive” nature of her story, while bringing to it his own personal touch.

The Willoughbys, executive produced and narrated by Ricky Gervais, has been watched by 37.6 million households since bowing on Netflix on April 22, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Netflix on Friday also touted the sizeable first month audience for the animated film version of Lois Lowry's story on its Twitter account.

Netflix and Lionsgate Home Entertainment each released new trailers this week, including Netflix's animated family film The Willoughbys and Lionsgate's Bruce Willis-led thriller Survive the Night. In the animated film version of Lois Lowry's story The Willoughbys, Will Forte and Alessia Cara voice siblings who devise a scheme to get rid of their parents, voiced by Martin Short and Jane Krakowski.
