HBO Max’s cancelation of voguing competition series Legendary has not gone down well in the LGBTQ+ community.

, HBO Max’s addictive ballroom competition, is back with a third season -- and returning judge Leiomy Maldonado tells ET’s Denny Directo, “This is going to be the shadiest season yet.” Shaking things up are a new judge, with Keke Palmer replacing Megan Thee Stallion, new rules and untested houses as the reality series moves from New York to Los Angeles. Palmer joins Maldonado, Jameela Jamil and Law Roach as well as host MC Dashaun Wesley as they determine which house “did what needed to be done” in order to win the legendary grand prize of $100,000.This time around, the panel isn’t playing around as they throw out some of the lowest scores seen so far and make the houses work for their “gag flag,” a judge’s ability to grant any group with immunity that week and a spot in the next ballroom.  Among the houses competing this year are Ada, Alain Mikli, Alpha Omega, Du'Mure Versailles, Juicy Couture, Lyght, Makaveli, Yamamoto and Revlon, the competition’s first international performers, as well as LaBeija, led by former contestant Aja LaBeija.

Mónica Marie Zorrilla “Legendary,” the HBO Max Original ballroom competition series emceed by veteran voguer and “Pose” actor Dashaun Wesley, will sashay into Season 3 at the WarnerMedia streaming platform.The reality TV competition show, which has garnered a 91% certified fresh critics score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, will return along with judges Leiomy Maldonado, Jameela Jamil, Law Roach and Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

HBO Max has slotted Thursday, May 6 for the Season 2 premiere of Legendary, the hit reality competition series that puts the spotlight on ballroom culture.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterHBO Max has renewed the competition series “Legendary” for a second season.The news comes on the same day that HBO Max dropped the final two episodes of the show’s first season. Season 1 MC Dashaun Wesley will return for Season 2 along with judges Leiomy Maldonado, Jameela Jamil, Law Roach and Megan Thee Stallion.

. She even has a signature hair flip, “The Leiomy Lolly,” that’s been replicated by Beyoncé, Janet Jackson and others. So when she was approached by the HBO Max reality competition  about being a contestant, it’s no surprise she said no.

Jameela Jamil has come out as queer following a backlash to her casting in a voguing competition show.
