Sherri Shepherd has officially made her debut as a talk show host! The  alum launched her daytime talk show, on Monday, and her premiere episode was full of cameos from stars wishing her good luck.The Daytime Emmy Award winner kicked off the first episode with a sweet monologue, giving her audience a brief introduction to their host. «I just want to say if you don’t know, welcome to the show,» she said. «And in case you don’t know, I am Sherri Shepherd. I am a comedian, I am an actress, I’m an Emmy-winning former co-host of ... I’m also a mother, a girlfriend and I’m also the girl next door who just happens to be living her dream because I’m hosting my own talk show!»Shepherd shared how Oprah Winfrey reached out to offer her a wealth of wisdom before she began her new gig, joking that she had to take a potassium pill «because my fingers were cramped» after taking 15 pages of notes. According to Winfrey, the key to Shepherd's success lies in the energy she brings to her viewers.

The sitcom starring Kym Whitley, Tisha Campbell, and Yvette Nicole Brown opened to an audience of 2.14 million total viewers with its two-episode back-to-back premiere on March 4 on Bounce TV, according to figures from Nielsen. Thus, making it the most-watched half-hour series launch in Bounce history. The initial airing was also pushed with a special presentation on Bounce’s sister network, ION. “It’s the storytelling. It’s wonderful and I think there needs to be something said about how it really well represents black women in America today. That’s a real breath of fresh air,” said executive producer and David Hudson. “It’s fun, it’s funny, it’s engaging, it’s reflective. I think it has real broad appeal for a lot of women, men as well.”

Following the murky life of famed sign spinner Izzy Lyon, the film picks up twenty years since Lyon mysteriously disappeared, and a group of fervent fans seek to reunite in order to uncover the truth behind the celebrity’s disappearance. The group of fans investigate Lyon’s life in detail, from his early 80’s rise to his late 90’s downfall, in the process discovering a portrait of a flawed individual that they’ve worshipped blindly in the past. Anti-Izzy adversaries are said to be working to exclude Lyon from the Spinternational Hall of Fame, which is followers must reckon with throughout the film.
