Bob Dylan supposedly once gave Post Malone his unused lyrics to use in a song that never got completed according to producer Michael Cash.Speaking to Rolling Stone, Cash revealed that he had come up with the idea for a project during the COVID-19 pandemic that would have seen rappers form songs based on recently uncovered and unused lyrics from Bob Dylan.Cash said the project would have been his own spin of the 2014 Bob Dylan-tribute record ‘Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes’, in which artists like Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, and Rhiannon Giddens recorded songs featuring unused Dylan lyrics.Cash’s version of the project, which would have been called ‘The Attic MP3s’, ultimately never came to fruition, but would ideally have featured performances from Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Post Malone.While the project never got released, Cash told Rolling Stone that some progress had been made as Dylan’s team green-lit Malone’s involvement in the record and that they had sent him lyrics to work with.Cash claims he corresponded with Jeff Rosen, Dylan’s longtime representative, and that after weeks of not hearing back, he got a text at “two o’clock in the morning”.

Tyler, the Creator‘s Camp Flog Gnaw has been revealed, including headliners SZA and Tyler himself.The festival will return for the first time in four years on the weekend of November 11-12 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.Alongside SZA and Tyler, Camp Flog Gnaw 2023 will be headlined by The Hillbillies, who many are assuming to be Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem, given their recent single of the same name.The pair’s official video for ‘The Hillbillies’ also featured Tyler, the Creator and was set outside Dodger Stadium. Tyler, the Creator has announced the lineup for Camp Flog Gnaw 2023. This year marks the Carnival’s first iteration since COVID lockdowns began.

The list — which sees Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler and SZA as headliners — was revealed via a painted mural on the side of the rapper’s Golf store in Fairfax. The festival’s official website started live streaming the painting process on Friday morning to an audience of over 7,000 viewers who stayed for the majority of the two-hour process to watch a crew of painters paint each individual name in real-time.

Rolling Loud have spoken to NME about how it became the world’s largest hip-hop festival ahead of the second-ever edition taking place in Portugal this weekend.Established in Florida eight years ago, the festival was created by hip-hop event promoters Matt Zinger and Tariq Chief. In 2010, Zingler and Cherif started to organise monthly parties in Miami headlined by some of today’s most successful rappers – such as Rick Ross, Travis $cott and Kendrick Lamar.Rolling Loud was first held in a Florida warehouse and had six headliners; Schoolboy Q, Curren$y, A$AP Ferg, Action Bronson, Juicy J, and $cott.
