Slipknot are getting their Dead By Daylight debut, thanks to an upcoming cosmetic collection.In a livestream on the official Dead By Daylight YouTube channel (which you can watch below), associate art director Leisha Riddel described the crossover. The Slipknot cosmetics being added to the game include seven masks and one full outfit; these designs are all based on “core” Slipknot members, but have been altered slightly to better fit with the style of the horror game.Subliminal Menace for The Legion is the outfit coming to Dead By Daylight, and will feature a white mask and flowing robes inspired by DJ Sid Wilson.Next up is a Metallic Grill for The Wraith, based on guitarist Mick Thomson, along with the Dominant Eye for The Deathslinger, which is based on guitarist Jim Root.

Corey Taylor has teased the release of Slipknot‘s lost album ‘Look Outside Your Window’.It was recorded by the frontman, Sid Wilson, Jim Root and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan at the same time as the group were working on 2008’s ‘All Hope Is Gone’. At one point, Taylor tried to blend the two records into one, but the “super experimental, vibey” tracks didn’t gel.

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root has criticised the “backwards” message of Rage Against The Machine‘s classic protest song ‘Killing In The Name’.The explicit, politically-charged single was released back in 1992, and features on RATM’s self-titled debut album. It was written about the abuses of power and issues within US society.Back in 2020, guitarist Tom Morello said that the track’s “Fuck you, I won’t do what you tell me” chant remains a “universal sentiment” despite its simplicity.

Slipknot and former Stone Sour bandmates Corey Taylor and Jim Root are discussing the possibility of forming a new band.Root previously stated that he wanted to “get away from that sinking ship” upon departing Slipknot previously, and later admitted that “[Taylor and I] would have just ended up killing each other and driving each other crazy” had he stayed.Speaking in the new issue of Metal Hammer (via Loudersound), however, Taylor said: “He and I are very different people, and we were both going through our own shit in life. We reconnected, and we’re actually talking about doing some stuff on the side, outside of Slipknot and Stone Sour.”The frontman said that he couldn’t “sit here and say that I wasn’t responsible for some of the bad feelings” between the pair, adding: “That can only come with self-reflection, and the fact that the things that were going on in my life rippled and affected other people.

Slipknot‘s Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan has explained in more detail why the band’s unreleased album, ‘Look Outside Your Window’, is still on the shelf.The album was recorded by four members of the metal monoliths during sessions for their 2008 album ‘All Hope Is Gone’.
