star Lainey Wilson and Ian Bohen both told ET they haven't heard many updates on the recently-confirmed news that Matthew McConaughey will star in a new franchise spinoff. «We'll go back this summer,» Bohen told ET's Cassie DiLaura from the red carpet of Sunday's CMT Music Awards but added that «mums the word» on whether he'd seen any scripts yet. «I haven't got a call yet,» Wilson said about filming the rest of season 5, «but as far as I know they don't even know when they're going to be filming.» Wilson added she was feeling positive about the show's future. «I have a really good feeling that if they do finish things in a way that, you know, they're planning, I will be back in it,» she said.

Paramount+ has a set a premiere date for the upcoming Teen Wolf: The Movie. The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will debut Thursday, January 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada, and the following day on Paramount+ in the UK, Latin America, and Australia. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date.

Tyler Hoechlin, who played werewolf Derek Hale on the MTV series, will be returning to reprise his role in the upcoming Paramount+ film, it was announced Friday.Hoechlin, who currently stars as Clark Kent on The CW's , will also serve as a producer on the film alongside returning star Tyler Posey. At the time of the movie announcement in February, Hoechlin was notably absent among the cast members returning.

Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his “Teen Wolf” character in Paramount+’s upcoming “Teen Wolf The Movie.” Hoechlin will also serve as a producer on the film, as will co-star Tyler Posey.In the film, “a full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it a terrifying evil has emerged,” according to the official logline.

Two more heavily recurring players from MTV’s Teen Wolf series are slated to reprise their roles in the upcoming movie sequel movie for Paramount+ — Ian Bohen as Peter Hale and Khylin Rhambo as Mason Hewitt. Additionally, Vince Mattis, Nobi Nakanishi and Amy Lin Workman have been cast in the project, from the 2011 series’ developer Jeff Davis, MTV Entertainment Studios and MGM’s Orion Television.

Variety on Wednesday.O’Brien explained that the project came together “very fast,” adding, “We didn’t really know that it was happening and they kind of just threw it at us a little bit, which is fine because we all love the show. We were trying to figure it out.”“Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there.
