Speaking to Metro, he said: “I was in France and her song (‘Break My Soul’) came out and I’m like, ‘I wish the beat did this.’ So I called my collab partner and we did it remotely on FYI, a collaboration tool.”The Black-Eyed Peas singer then claimed “they weren’t thinking about remixes until I sent it.”“They put out a remix EP and my song’s first one on it – and I inspired it,” he continued.

Beyoncé's blockbuster new album Renaissance has gone straight to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart, Billboard reports. The album, released July 29, sold 332,000 equivalent units (a combination of 179.06 million streams and 190,000 album sales) and marks her seventh solo album to hit the top spot.

Beyoncé has come through with yet another remix of ‘Break My Soul’, this time linking up with Madonna for a take on the lead single from ‘Renaissance’ dubbed ‘The Queens Remix’.Clocking in at almost six minutes long, the track leans heavily into the original song’s house and disco influences. It marks the first proper collaboration between Beyoncé and Madonna, though the former did appear in the video for the latter’s Nicki Minaj-assisted 2015 single ‘Bitch I’m Madonna’.It also comes as the fifth official remix for ‘Break My Soul’, riding hot on the heels of a four-track remix EP that Bey dropped on Thursday (August 4).

However, it appears that Madonna did not record anything new for the remix beyond (possibly) a few spoken words, but rather had snippets of previously released, decades-old songs, particularly “Vogue,” dropped in.As of now, “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” is only available on Bey’s online shop for $1.29.

Diane Warren has apologised after making controversial comments about the numbers of co-writers on Beyoncé‘s new album, ‘Renaissance’.On Monday (August 1), Warren tweeted, “How can there be 24 writers on a song?” alongside an eye-roll emoji. The tweet was likely referring to ‘Alien Superstar’, a song on ‘Renaissance’ which credits two dozen songwriters.Those include the likes of Honey Dijon, Jay-Z, Lucky Daye, Labrinth and 070 Shake, but many of the credits are also due to sampling and interpolation of other artists’ songs.
