EXCLUSIVE: Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose is set to star in 87North’s With Love for Universal Pictures opposite Ke Huy Quan. Universal Pictures will release With Love wide on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025. The film marks Huy Quan’s first starring role since winning the Oscar for best supporting actor with 87North’s Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, who also produced Atomic Blonde, Nobody and the upcoming summer pic The Fall Guy, will produce.

Sony Pictures has acquired Studio 8’s upcoming family comedy Adulting, now in development. The screenplay comes from Chris Hazzard and Michael Fontana, who penned Lionsgate’s Zachary Levi and Cole Sprouse musical comedy Undercover from Mandeville Films.

Studio 8’s Jeff Robinov, John Graham and Guy Danella are producing the pic, which is now in development.The logline is under wraps but is said to be a unique spin on the coming-of-age movie, exploring the themes of marriage, divorce and parenting through the lens of adolescence.

Studio 8 has tapped Tour de Pharmacy director Jake Szymanski to helm a buddy treasure hunt comedy now in development. The indie project is inspired by writer Hudson Morgan’s misadventures while on a life-changing expedition with a group of friends searching for millionaire Forrest Fenn’s buried treasure of gold and diamonds.
