EXCLUSIVE: Starz’ The Venery of Samantha Bird has shut down production as a result of the writers strike.
Starz has rounded out the series regular cast for The Venery of Samantha Bird, its upcoming drama series starring Katherine Langford. Finn Jones (Iron Fist), Embeth Davidtz (The Morning Show), Brenda Strong (13 Reasons Why), Adam Faison (Everything’s Gonna Be OK), Shalini Bathina (Little Voice) and Tyrone Marshall Brown (Love Is) join Langford in the series created by Anna Moriarty. Additionally, Larysa Kondracki (Power, Better Call Saul) has been added as executive producer and will serve as director on four episodes, including the pilot, and Nicole Jefferson Asher (P-Valley, The First Lady) has joined as co-executive producer. Starz also confirmed the casting of Francesca Reale, whom we previously reported.
With filming set to begin soon on “Daredevil: Born Again,” fans of the Netflix/Marvel ‘Defenders’ universe are rejoicing. It’s set to debut in Spring 2024.Daredevil also showed up at the end of the “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” trailer that debuted during the panel.Cox’s Daredevil made his way back into the MCU in last year’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” in which he had a cameo role as his alter-ego Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who fights crime outside of his office hours.

Mónica Marie Zorrilla Gritty, psychological scripted drama “Swimming With Sharks,” starring Kiernan Shipka and Diane Kruger, will debut on The Roku Channel this April. The leads were previously announced back in February 2020, when the series was previously under Quibi. Donald Sutherland, Ross Butler, Thomas Dekker, Finn Jones, Erica Alexander and Gerardo Celasco also star alongside Shipka and Kruger.“Swimming With Sharks,” a modern update of George Huang’s original 1994 cult comedy about the Hollywood studio system, will feature six half-hour episodes.
