'Absolutely gutted' Loose Women's Brenda Edwards to replace Gemma Collins in Chicago
Loose Women panelist has left many excited fans over the moon after it was announced that she would be replacing Gemma Collins in the upcoming Chicago tour.TOWIE star Gemma was set to play Mama Morton in the production, but has reportedly suffered a knee injury, leaving her forced to pull out.She was supposed to be making her debut with the musical at Sunderland Empire this month. However, hope was not lost after it was announced today that Brenda will be taking over from June 2.Brenda has a background in musicals and has even played the role before, making her West End debut playing the matron of the women's ward at Cook County Jail in 2007.The Loose Women panellist has also appeared in Hairspray, Carousel and We Will Rock You.She will star alongside Lee Mead, Faye Brookes, Djalenga Scott, Jamie Baughan and BE Wong.Brenda will be part of the production till July 23 with dates at Cardiff New Theatre, Winter Gardens Blackpool, Sheffield Lyceum Theatre, Norwich Theatre Royal and New Theatre Oxford. The news of Brenda's latest career moves comes after the devastating loss of her music mogul son, Jamal, earlier this year.Jamal died from a heart attack at just 31 on February 20, with his heartbroken mother there holding his hands in his final moments. The presenter revealed on her return to Loose Women the little comfort she has from being with her son as he took his last breaths.Recalling the evening of Jamal’s death, she said: "I was with him. Coronation Street’s Rana Nazir ‘still alive’ as viewers ‘work out’ Gary's downfall
Coronation Street cobbles is still on everyone’s lips - that Laura Neelan took the fall for Rick Neelan’s murder. And fans of the show think the latest twist in the Neelan legacy could only mean one thing - that Rana Nazir is actually still alive and could be returning to the show.Terminally ill Laura admitted to her daughter Kelly and to the police that she killed Rick, despite knowing Gary Windass actually committed the crime, in order for her daughter to get her dad’s money and grow up in a stable family. But with Laura’s death on the cards, fans are sure the storyline can’t simply end like that - allowing Kelly to go on hating her mum forever. With Gary technically guilty of Rana’s murder after causing the factory roof to collapse in a dodgy deal with Rick, fans are sure that the only way he could truly face justice if Laura keeps quiet is for Rana to return and tell on him.And with Faye Brookes’ character Kate Connor still alive despite exiting the show, it could mean their romance has a chance to blossom after all.Taking to Twitter, one eagle-eyed fan suggested an amnesia plot could be the way to go, with Rana forgetting what happened in the interim between her exit in 2019 and now. They tweeted: “Still hoping Corrie is trash soap enough to bring Rana back at some point with amnesia or something!”A second hopeful fan wrote: “It's Saturday morning and in my mind the Connor family are happy. Aidan and Johnny are alive.

Inside Corrie Adam Barlow star's life - footballer ex, reality TV stint and throwback snaps
Coronation Street hunk Sam Robertson has had quite the ride as resident ladies man Adam Barlow. The Scottish actor has made his mark in Weatherfield over the years as his character enjoyed a string of flings with the female residents including Maria Connor, Rosie Webster and Eva Price. In fact, he even hooked up with his uncle's partner Carla Connor before finally marrying Sarah Platt. So perhaps it comes as no surprise that the latest storyline for Adam will see him and wife Sarah pick up a nasty stalker in the build-up to Valentine's Day.However, for Sam, his real-life couldn't be further than the man he plays on screen.Sam, 36, was famously linked to ex-ladies footballer and BBC Sport pundit Alex Scott after they were spotted enjoying a cosy date together. They were seen enjoying a cosy candlelit dinner and drinks at London's Dean Street Townhouse back in September 2018.However, the romance was short-lived because they couldn't get any privacy and found themselves all over the news after just one date.Alex explained: "My one date in ages was going out with Sam [Robertson], who is lovely."The next morning, our pictures were all over the press because someone in the restaurant had taken a photo."It wasn't exactly a great start!"Sam was controversially rumoured to have had a fling with his Coronation Street co-star Faye Brookes aka Kate Connor. At the time the actress was on a break from her relationship with pop star Gareth Gates. At the time a source alleged to The Sun: "It was the talk of the Coronation Street set when Faye and Sam hooked up."Sam was a good friend and a shoulder to cry on. Before they realised it, one thing had led to another.
