This week, the hit show is welcoming Davood Ghadami to the cast – and the actor hasn't ruled out a hospital romance for his new (already married!) character Eli Ebrahimi.

EastEnders fans are hoping that Kush Khazemi can make a comeback to EastEnders after it was announced that Holby City has been cancelled. Soap star Davood Ghadami joined the cast of the soap as consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Eli Ebrahimi earlier this year after his exit from EastEnders.

Davood Ghadami has joined the cast of Holby City as his character Kush Khazemi prepares to leave EastEnders.The 38 year old has starred as loveable Kush on the hit BBC One soap for seven years, but it was confirmed in September 2020 that he would be leaving the show. It has now been announced that he will be joining the cast of hospital based BBC drama Holby City later this year as consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Eli Ebrahimi.
