Emmerdale star James Hooton has been flooded with supportive messages after revealing he'd suffered a tragic loss. The actor took to social media this week to confirm the sad death of his father.

Belle Dingle is set for another milestone in Emmerdale as she gets engaged. The character, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, has spent her whole life in the village having made her first on-screen appearance on Christmas Day in 1988, then played by twins Emily and James Mather.

Emmerdale character Belle Dingle is played by actress Eden Taylor-Draper, 22, and she stepped into the role on the soap set in 2005. As a result, Eden has been on the hit soap for 15 years now, and she’s built friendships with many of the cast members as a result.
