Many members of the royal family will be attending the Queen's funeral today in honour of her memory.

With King Charles taking an extended break from official duties while he continues his treatment for cancer, Queen Camilla, 76, has stepped up to carry out a huge number of official engagements. While the Queen is devoted to her many charities and causes - which stretch from helping victims of domestic abuse to gender equality and service animals - she has been joined by at a handful of her recent appearances by one sorely underrated royal.

Many members of the Royal Family have experienced tragedies over the years, from early deaths to horrific disasters. And while there are a great deal of terrible stories, some of the saddest have affected the senior Royals who featured in King Charles's official Coronation portraits. The first tragedy affected Prince Edward, Duke of Kent (standing far right) and Princess Alexandra (standing second left).The first cousins of Queen Elizabeth II have dedicated their lives to royal service and have carried out hundreds of engagements and official appearances.

Prince Harry flew from Los Angeles to London this week to show public support at father King Charles' Coronation on Saturday, making his first public appearance of the year with his royal relatives. But the Duke of Sussex wasn't given a spot beside his immediate family inside the Westminster Abbey ceremony and was instead relegated to the third row to watch his father and stepmother Camilla crowned.

Thania Garcia Although the royal family has yet to confirm the official list of attendees for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, various heads of state have already confirmed their planned attendance at the Westminster Abbey ceremony scheduled for Monday, Sept. 19. Buckingham Palace revealed the full schedule of the funeral plans — which will begin in London and end in Windsor — including the several categories of dignitaries invited: global government representatives, foreign royal families, governors general, realm prime ministers and heads of state. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will be present, along with all of the heads of the Commonwealth including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Indian President Droupadi Murmu and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Joining them will be President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska and the presidents of Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy and Poland, among other representatives.

Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday 19 September will take place at Westminster Abbey, and King Charles III, 73, confirmed that the day will be a national bank holiday. On the morning of the sombre day, the lying-in-State period will end and the Queen’s Coffin will be taken in procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, where the State Funeral Service will take place.

The Sussexes and Waleses walked and stood side-by-side in more shows of solidarity at Queen Elizabeth’s lying-in-state ceremonies. Princes Harry and William marched together behind their father King Charles on Wednesday afternoon (14. 09.
