Why the Lionesses' Euros win was so significant and left women all over the world in tears

If you watched the Lionesses win against Germany on July 31, you were lucky to see history in the making.The Lionesses, who are the England women’s national football team managed by Sarina Wiegman, thrilled millions of fans including royalty in a nail-biting match when they went on to win 2-1 against Germany.The first goal from England’s Ella Toone in the 62nd minute, followed by an equaliser by Germany’s Lina Magull in the 79th minute had many dreading the match would go to penalties, who England have a heartbreaking history with. Gary Lineker tweeted: “It’s going to be bloody penalties, isn’t it?” whilst Dom Joly echoed his nerve-shredding sentiment by tweeting: “It’s going to be penalties isn’t it? #EngvGer.” England’s Chloe Kelly’s goal in extra time propelled the Lionesses to clinch their first win in a final since 1966.

ITV's The Chase is known for featuring some of the best quizzers on the circuit - and now, guest star Dom Joly has revealed just how seriously the Chasers take the show in order to stay at the top. Comedian Dom said that when he was a celebrity contestant on the show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, he saw Mark Labbett - aka The Beast - become so angry about a call on one question that the show had to be stopped while they argued. Dom appeared on Beat The Chasers where he managed to beat all five chasers, winning £50k for charity.

The consequences are that both children face sight loss issues and will be forced to wear hearing aids for the rest of their lives. The kids will also suffer from peripheral vision loss and tunnel vision as they grow older.

Tom Parker will star in Celebrity Pointless as BBC pays tribute to late Wanted singer

The late Tom Parker will feature in the Saturday night episode of the BBC show Celebrity Pointless following his tragic death earlier this week. The Wanted star, who l ost his batter against brain cancer aged 33 on March 30 2022, joined forces with bandmate Max George to raise money for Brain Research UK and The Brain Tumour Charity.Tom, who has heartbreakingly left behind his wife Kelsey, 32, and their two children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, and Max reportedly played against other stars including Greg McHugh and Kimberley Nixon, Ria Lina and Dom Joly and Ninia Benjamin and Dominic Holland.The late singer will feature in the episode set to air at 7.50pm on Saturday 2 April in a change to BBC to pay tribute to the singer after the show was originally planned to be aired next year with the change supported by his family.
