The news comes just one month before the premiere of Season 4, which debuts on the network July 31 with episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu. Starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, the comedy about parenthood will pick up five years after the events of Season 3, which saw Freeman’s Paul and Haggard’s Ally on the brink of splitting up. According to a press release, the fourth and final season of “Breeders” will bring “the biggest parenting challenge that Paul and Ally have ever faced, as 18-year-old Luke (Oscar Kennedy) drops a bombshell at Christmas dinner that will change everyone’s lives forever. No longer in Luke’s shadow, 16-year-old Ava (Zoë Athena) experiences her own bombshell moment as she meets and immediately falls for the charismatic Holly (Jessie Williams). Paul and Ally continue to try, fail and try again as they face these latest parenting challenges, while also having to support the increasingly troubled Jim (Alun Armstrong) and Jackie (Joanna Bacon).”

Beabadoobee took the Breakthrough Artist prize while Callum Reece was named Breakthrough Manager.Other big winners on the night included Becky Hill, who was declared Artist Of The Year; Burna Boy’s manager Bose Ogulu, who was Manager Of The Year; Tim Burgess, who took the Artist’s Artist prize; and Martin Hall – who manages the Manic Street Preachers, The Script and Wet Leg – who was presented with the Managers’ Manager Award.Despite the celebrations, FAC and MMF CEOs David Martin and Annabella Coldrick began the evening with a sombre warning, stressing the ongoing challenges facing artists and their managers.

Christopher Vourlias Spanish production and distribution company Elamedia has acquired “Tengo sueños eléctricos” (I Have Electric Dreams), the Locarno prize-winning debut by director Valentina Maurel, which will screen in the Horizontes Latinos section of the San Sebastian Film Festival. Elamedia will be releasing the film in Spanish theaters later this year. Set in Costa Rica, “Electric Dreams” follows Eva (Daniela Marin Navarro), a strong-willed 16-year-old girl who lives with her mother, her younger sister and their cat, but desperately wants to move in with her estranged father (Reinaldo Amien Guttierez). Clinging onto him as he goes through a second adolescence, she balances between the tenderness and sensitivity of teenage life and the ruthlessness of the adult world.

EJ Panaligan editor Iliza Shlesinger’s latest comedy special with Netflix titled “Hot Forever” — her sixth for the streamer — has set a release date for October 11. The special was filmed at the Connor Palace in Cleveland this past July. The special was directed by Steven Paley, with Shlesinger serving as executive producer alongside Kara Baker and David Martin. Her previous specials with Netflix include 2019’s “Unveiled,” 2018’s “Elder Millennial,” 2016’s “Confirmed Kills,” 2015’s “Freezing Hot” and 2013’s “War Paint.” Also in today’s television news: Bravo’s “Winter House” is set to premiere its second season on the network on Thursday, October 13 at 9 p.m. PT/ET.

BreAnna Bell Showtime will not be moving forward with a third season of “Flatbush Misdemeanors,” Variety has confirmed. The news comes after the network aired the series’ Season 2 finale on Aug. 21. The Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman comedy series followed the two creators as they settled into their new lives, struggling to survive in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Kristin Dodson, Hassan Johnson and Kareem Green were amongst the cast. “We would like to thank the creators, executive producers and stars Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman, along with fellow executive producer Keith Heisler, our partners at Avalon, as well as our scene-stealing supporting cast of Kristin Dodson, Hassan Johnson and Kareem Green,” said a Showtime spokesperson in a statement. “We’re very proud to have taken Kevin and Dan’s distinctive shorts and expanded it into two seasons of excellent television. EXCLUSIVE: Showtime has opted not to proceed with a third season of Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman’s comedy series Flatbush Misdemeanors. The news comes three weeks after the show’s second season ended its run on the network. There is no decision yet for the future of Showtime’s other current comedy series, I Love That for You, whose first season led to Flatbush Misdemeanor’s Season 2.

Selome Hailu “Breeders” has been renewed for its fourth season at FX.The comedy series stars Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard in an exploration of the challenges of modern parenting. Season 3, which concluded on July 11, picked up days after the end of Season 2, as the Worsley family reels from teenaged Luke (Alex Eastwood) punching his dad, Paul (Freeman).
