A businessman who tried to help a convicted killer get away with murder has been jailed. Khayam Khurshid was one of three men convicted of the murder of 18-year-old Cole Kershaw, a promising boxer who was shot dead in the street.

A statement from GMP said: "At around 9.40pm on Wednesday, August 12, police were called to reports of a firearms discharge on Chesham Road. "Officers attended and established that an 18-year-old man had been shot."The victim was taken to hospital where he sadly died a short time later.
Cole Kershaw died from a single gunshot wound to his right shoulder in Chesham Road, Bury, on Thursday evening. Detectives say he was caught in the crossfire of an altercation between two groups of men who had been involved in a car chase.But police say they do not believe the 18-year-old was the shooter's "intended target".
