Emmerdale star Chelsea Halfpenny begs for help as granddad fights for life after 'hit and run'
Emmerdale actress Chelsea Halfpenny has revealed the devastating news her grandad was allegedly run over in a hit and run car crash.The former Amy Wyatt star, who was later recast on the ITV soap, shared her heartbreak on social media as she urged any witnesses of the alleged incident to come forward.The 30 year old West End actress is incredibly close to her grandparent, who was struck by a car in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear at the age of 85 on Friday evening, February 25.The elderly man was taken to hospital in an ambulance having sustained serious injuries, and remains in a critical condition. "There are four lads who all have mams, dads, aunties, uncles, and friends so there are a lot of people in a very small area that have information on what happened last night," she said.
