The Fast Show are reuniting for a live tour to celebrate the sketch show’s 30th anniversary.Today (January 25), it was announced that An Evening With The Fast Show will run between February and April 2024, with cast members Simon Day, Charlie Higson, John Thomson, Paul Whitehouse, Mark Williams, and Arabella Weir all featuring.In a statement, the show’s promoters said: “Fans of the iconic TV programme The Fast Show are in for a real treat as the original cast members – Simon Day, Charlie Higson, John Thomson, Paul Whitehouse, Mark Williams and Arabella Weir – bring their comedic genius to theatres across the country this spring.“This celebratory live tour will be a huge treat for fans of the multi-award winning quick-fire TV sketch show and provide a real behind-the-scenes insight into some of their favourite characters and catchphrases as they come alive on stage once again.“The cast will chat together about how it all began, how they made the TV show, and created the characters and the fun they had doing it.

Rebel Wilson has revealed that she auditioned for the next James Bond film.The Pitch Perfect star shared the news at Cannes Film Festival while promoting her directorial debut The Deb, a big screen adaptation of the Australian musical comedy.Speaking to Variety at the festival, Wilson revealed that she was asked to audition for a role in the upcoming Bond movie after producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson saw her host the 2022 BAFTAs.The actor explained that she had to clear a number of Bond-related jokes with the producers ahead of the awards, which put her in direct contact and ultimately led to an audition.“What was really cool was getting to audition for Bond,” said Wilson, who stressed that she wasn’t going for role of James Bond, but rather an undisclosed character.

James Bond author Charlie Higson has said that any actors rumoured to be taking on the role of 007 on the big screen have already been rejected.Higson has written several Young Bond novels and was recently commissioned by the Ian Fleming Publication to pen new Bond novel, On His Majesty’s Secret Service.In a new interview with PA, Higson was asked if he knew who would be replacing Daniel Craig as Bond on the big screen following the actor’s departure in 2021’s No Time To Die.“As soon as the papers say, ‘So and so is being considered as the next James Bond’, you know that they’re not going to be the next James Bond, you know that they’ve been rejected,” he said.“[The studio] play their cards very close to the chest. A lot of times they really surprise people.

Naman Ramachandran Ian Fleming Publications has commissioned Young Bond series author Charlie Higson to write a new James Bond adventure to celebrate the coronation of King Charles. The new 007 story brings Bond into the present day. It is May 4, two days before the coronation of King Charles III. Bond is sent at the last minute to thwart an attempt to disrupt the coronation by the wealthy, eccentric and self-styled Athelstan of Wessex, who is on a deadly mission of his own to teach the United Kingdom a lesson. Bond must dismantle his shady plans and defeat his privately hired team of mercenaries. “On His Majesty’s Secret Service” will be published on May 4, ahead of the coronation on May 6 and 60 years after the publication of Fleming’s 10th novel, “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” in 1963. All royalties from sales of the book will support the work of the National Literacy Trust, an independent U.K. charity working with schools and communities to give disadvantaged children the literacy skills to succeed in life.
