The streamer released the first trailer for Season 3 of “Pennyworth: The Origins of Batman’s Butler” on Wednesday, showcasing the newest chapter in Alfred Pennyworth’s story. The new season will premiere on Thursday, Oct. 6 with three episodes followed by one episode weekly through Nov. 24. The DC origin series Jack Bannon as the titular butler, who is also a former British SAS soldier. He forms a security company in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and his wife Martha (Emma Paetz) before they become Bruce Wayne’s parents. Season three of the thriller begins after a five-year time jump. Now, the civil war is over and a revolution has changed the world, ushering in a new age of super heroes and supervillains.

The film is a surprise win at this year’s Emmys, marking the first time that an animated movie has won the category, which tends to be somewhat confusing. Chip is an insurance salesman, and Dale spends his time at fan conventions. Washed up has-beens living in L.A., Chip and Dale must now get the team back together to find a missing friend.

It follows a woman who, during the region’s increasingly perilous dust storms, is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family. The film is directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse, and Crouse penned the script. “Dust” commenced principal photography this week in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Miller previously starred as Nova in the 2017 film from 20th Century Studios “War for the Planet of the Apes” alongside Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn. In 2020, she was also seen in David Oyelowo’s feature directorial debut “The Water Man.”

He was 80. Throughout Wiard’s decades-long career, he won five primetime Emmys for editing. Wiard won for his work in editing the final episode of “The Carol Burnett Show” at CBS in 1978, the four-episode WGBH series “The Scarlet Letter” in 1979 and the television special “American Bandstand’s 30th Anniversary Special” in 1982. Two episodes of “Murphy Brown” — “Respect” and “On Another Plane” — also won Wiard primetime Emmys. He was nominated a total of 11 times.

Carson Burton Ralph Eggleston, an Academy Award-winning animator, art director and production designer at Pixar Animation Studios, died on Monday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56 years old.
