Developed for PBS by Kathy Waugh, and produced by WGBH, Arthur centers on a young aardvark of the same name, and the lessons he learns from friends and family, while growing up in the fictional Elwood City.

Zack Sharf PBS Kids’ long-running animated series “Arthur” is set to conclude its 25th and final season with four new episodes that culminate in a flash-forward, revealing grown-up versions of the series’ beloved characters.The four episodes will air as part of a 25th anniversary “Arthur” marathon, which will feature more than 250 episodes and movie specials from across the series’ run. The marathon will air on PBS Kids and livestream on the PBS Kids YouTube channel from Feb.
Arthur will debut,” Carol Greenwald, the PBS series’ executive producer, told IGN in an email. The bombshell was first dropped during a July 13 episode of the “Finding D.W.” podcast with Kathy Waugh, the writer and editor who originally developed the program for PBS from the hit kids books by Marc Brown.
