Fontaines D.C. have announced that they will release a new version of their third studio album, ‘Skinty Fia‘.The band – consisting of frontman Grian Chatten, guitarists Carlos O’Connell and Conor Curley, bassist Conor Deegan and drummer Tom Coll – took to their official Instagram page to announce the brand new version of the LP along with its artwork.“We’ve got a new version of ‘Skinty Fia’ coming out called ‘Skinty Fia Go Deo’, which translates to ‘Skinty Fia Forever’,” read their Instagram caption.

Fontaines D.C.’s vocalist Grian Chatten made his debut solo appearance on Later…With Jools Holland last night (June 17) – check out footage below.Chatten released his first solo single ‘The Score’ in April and took to Jools Holland on Saturday night to perform follow-up track ‘Fairlies’.“I wrote ‘Fairlies’ in intense heat,” Chatten explained at the time. “Partly in Jerez, Spain, partly in LA a couple of days before a Fontaines D.C. tour kicked off.

Thania Garcia Songwriting partners Harry Styles and Kid Harpoon have received Ivor Novello nominations for the 2023 iteration of the awards show that honors British or Irish songwriters and composers. They’re tied with Cleo Soul (Cleopatra Nikolic) and Dean “Inflo” Josiah Cover as the most nominated pair of the evening with three nominations each. In partnership with Amazon Music, the Ivors have also selected Florence Welch (Florence + the Machine), Styles and Harpoon, Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers (Wet Leg), George Daniel and Matty Healy (the 1975), and Central Cee and Young Chencs as nominees for the coveted songwriter of the year category.

Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten has discussed working with Kae Tempest on their upcoming album ‘The Line Is A Curve’.Chatten and his band were speaking on the red carpet at last night’s (March 2) BandLab NME Awards 2022, where they later picked up the award for Best Band In The World.After NME referenced the pair’s recent studio time with Slowthai, Fontaines were asked if any other new collaborations were on the way, with Chatten then confirming that he’s contributed two songs to Tempest’s ‘The Line Is A Curve’, which is due out next month.“I did a few tunes and they’re gonna be on their new album,” Chatten told NME.

Fontaines D.C. played a tiny London show for War Child last night (February 4), debuting new songs from third album ‘Skinty Fia’ – see footage, reaction setlist and more below.The show, at The Dome in Tufnell Park, came as part of BRITs Week, which will see the likes of Damon Albarn and Bastille also playing intimate shows in the capital over the next few weeks around the 2022 BRIT Awards, which will be held at The O2 in London on February 8.Opening the show with ‘Too Real’ from 2019 debut album ‘Dogrel’, the band played a 14-song set sprinkled with new material alongside old classics.“Youse are a guinea pig and a half,” frontman Grian Chatten told the crowd after the full live debut of superbly catchy new single ‘Jackie Down The Line’, the first preview of new album ‘Skinty Fia’, which is set to arrive on April 22 via Partisan.Chatten was on animated form, giving thunderous renditions of ‘Televised Mind’ and ‘A Lucid Dream’ from the band’s 2020 album ‘A Hero’s Death‘ and asking the crowd to join him in the chaos.
