Roadside Attractions following their release on the big screen can now be found on Hulu.

It should not be a stretch to say that the United States is currently in a state of cognitive disarray following the overruling of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court.

EXCLUSIVE: Jasmine Mathews (The Tomorrow War, The Rookie), Sonja Sohn (Star Trek: Discovery, The Wire), John Magaro (Call Jane, The Many Saints of Newark) and Shein Mompremier (Black Lightning) have joined the cast of Sony Pictures and AFFIRM Films’ untitled biopic of legendary two-time world heavyweight champion George Foreman, from director George Tillman Jr. (The Hate U Give, Notorious).

“There’s nothing wishy-washing about working with Phyllis Nagy,” Elizabeth Banks tells Deadline of working with the Call Jane director. “She’s very gentle with her direction but she’s also firm with what she expects or wants out of something, which I really appreciate.”

With 2021 coming to a close and everyone putting their best-of lists together, the Sundance Film Festival is on the horizon giving us a wave of new movies to look forward to. The festival has released a batch of first-look images (see below) for the upcoming slate of festival entries including films such as “Resurrection,” “Honk For Jesus, Save Your Soul,” and “Call Jane.” All three projects will have their World Premiere at Sundance alongside many other feature films and documentaries.

Lovecraft Country standout Wunmi Mosaku will co-star alongside Elizabeth Banks, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Mara, and Rupert Friend in Call Jane, a women’s rights indie drama directed by Carol screenwriter Phyllis Nagy. The pic is based on The Blacklist script by Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi.
