Krapopolis, the Dan Harmon-created animated series that was renewed for its third season before audiences saw a frame, is finally coming to Fox later this month.
Joe Otterson TV Reporter Dan Harmon’s new animated series “Krapopolis” has set its long-awaited premiere date at Fox. The series will debut with a special two-episode preview on Sunday, Sept. 24 immediately following the NFL doubleheader that night. Fox has not announced its full fall schedule at the time of this publishing, but the network says that “Krapopolis” will make its regular timeslot premiere on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 8:30 pm ET/PT as part of the network’s “Animation Domination” block. “The Simpsons” will lead into the new show at 8 pm, followed by “Bob’s Burgers” at 9 pm and “Family Guy” at 9:30 pm.

December 2022 saw Bent Box enter a multi-year production service agreement with leading Irish animation studio Boulder Media, which includes “Krapopolis” and “Grimsburg.”In 2021, Bento Box and Fox formed BCL, which launched Web3 platforms for unscripted series like “The Masked Singer,” “Krapopolis,” the United States Football League (USFL), Fox Deportes, SXSW, Dolly Parton and WWE.Daniel Weidenfeld, senior vice president of Animation at Fox Entertainment, will transition over to Bento Box, where he will be involved in development, working closely with creative Director Ben Jones. They will jointly report to Coker.
Joe Otterson TV Reporter Scott Greenberg, the co-founder and CEO of Fox-owned animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, is exiting the company, Variety has confirmed. Greenberg is also the CEO of Fox’s Web3 media and creative technology company Blockchain Creative Labs (BCL). He will officially depart both roles on May 19. “It’s been an incredible honor and privilege to work alongside the many people who have helped build Bento Box and Blockchain Creative Labs into two great companies,” Greenberg said. “The many series and projects we launched together are a great source of lasting pride to me. Fox Entertainment has closed a deal with Modern Magic to develop animated programming for the network. Modern Magic was recently launched by Academy Award winning filmmaker Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and producing partner, Adam Rosenberg. Under the deal, Modern Magic will develop and produce a “new wave” of half-hour and hour-long animated series for Fox. Content created will be fully own and distributed by Fox Entertainment and produced by Bento Box.
