NASA announced today that the planned Sept. 27 launch of the Moon-bound Artemis I rocket from Cape Canaveral’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida will be postponed due to weather forecasts associated with Tropical Storm Ian.

Nasa has launched its Artemis moon rocket today after two previous failed attempts. The rocket, which is the most powerful to have ever launched, successfully took off on Wednesday morning after years of delays and billions in cost overruns.

NASA had to make a difficult decision this morning (August 29) and cancel the planned launch for Artemis I, the first unmanned mission to the moon and back to Earth.

NASA has postponed the launch of its Artemis 1 Moon rocket mission, which was due to take off on Bank Holiday Monday (August 29). Issues occurred with one of the engines, the space agency explained.
