Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Two years after the hit Amazon Prime Video superhero series aired its Season 3 finale, “The Boys” will finally be back in town. The fourth season of Amazon’s Emmy-winning drama “The Boys” will debut with three episodes June 13. Comprised of eight episodes total, “The Boys” Season 4 will air with new installments dropping weekly through its season finale on July 18.

The Boys will be back this summer.

In Episode 7, “Sick,” there are callbacks to storylines planted at the beginning of “The Boys,” and vital information relayed from characters on one show to another.

As the opening credits begin in “Cobweb,” eagle-eyed audience members might notice the appearance of the Point Grey production company. This is the company formed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, a studio known for its smart, incredibly popular comedy films and TV series.

William Earl Horror Film School is a new feature in which talent in front of and behind the camera share the ins and outs of creating the biggest onscreen scares. “Cobweb” is French director Samuel Bodin’s feature debut, but he’s well-known to horror fans for directing and co-writing the scary-as-hell 2019 French series “Marianne.” Bodin expands on the shadows and secrets of the series with “Cobweb,” a twisty tale in which Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr play the creepy parents of Peter (Woody Norman), who starts hearing haunted whispers in the walls. The Hollywood project, produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Point Grey, was a departure for Bodin, but follows his tested guidelines for conjuring scares. Bodin shares his dos and don’ts of directing a scary movie.

In the vast realm of horror films, Cobweb emerges as a new addition inviting audiences into a world where appearances deceive and secrets hide beneath the surface. Directed by Samuel Bodin and written by Chris Thomas Devlin, and starring Lizzy Caplan, Woody Norman, Antony Starr, and Cleopatra Coleman, the movie’s strengths lie in the established atmosphere of intrigue and suspense. However, it can’t sustain that as it grapples with some missed opportunities and a lackluster conclusion that fails to bring closure to its narrative. 

The Boys fans are “missing the point entirely” if they support Homelander.The New Zealand actor – who plays patriotic yet sadistic superhero Homelander in the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson – said that he’s surprised the character still has fans in viewers.“There’s a very strange thing that’s happened with the character, though he is clearly not a good guy,” the actor recently told The LA Times.“A lot of people have glommed onto him. There’s a weird element out there that actually kind of idolise him.

On both Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, all eight episodes of the third season of the Prime Video drama will play on the big screen in the Culver City cinema (formerly an ArcLight/Pacific theater, acquired by Amazon in July 2022) starting at 9 a.m. For the April 28 screening, the FYC event will run until 6:30, ending in an hourlong Q&A with the cast and executive producers in honor of National Superhero Day. There will be no Q&A on April 29, which will conclude the festivities at 5:30.
