I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans will know him best for being one half of the cheeky Geordie duo that present the show, but away form our screens Declan Donnelly lives a very different private life that is worlds away from his cheeky on screen persona.The 49 year old star, who first shot to fame on Byker Grove all the way back in 1990, is the youngest of seven siblings, with all of his family preferring to remain out of the spotlight following his older brother Dermott’s death in in 2022. Dermott, a prominent Catholic priest based in County Durham, sadly died at the age of 55 in July 2022, after he unexpectedly collapsed.

Presenter Declan Donnelly has had a whirlwind few weeks after the tragic loss of his beloved brother in July. However, the month also saw some happiness as Declan, 46, announced that he and wife Ali Astall had welcomed their second child together and named him Jack Anthony Alphonsus. He took to Instagram the day after baby Jack’s arrival to share a sweet picture of the newborn holding his dad’s finger and wrote: “Shortly before 10am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, a very welcome ray of light.
