The Broadway musical Beetlejuice has canceled tonight’s performance due to cases of Covid within the company.

The Broadway revival of Monty Python’s Spamalot will play its final performance on Sunday, April 7, completing a 24-week run at the St. James Theatre.

Jonathan Bennett, the Mean Girls heartthrob and star of the Hallmark Channel’s Christmas House franchise, will make his Broadway debut when he takes over the role of Spamalot‘s Sir Robin from Michael Urie on January 23.

Prime Video has set January 19, 2024 for the premiere of Vivienne Medrano’s adult animated musical comedy series Hazbin Hotel. Episodes will drop exclusively on the streamer beginning January 19 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Prime Video also announced its guest cast, which includes Broadway vets Darren Criss (Saint Peter), Jeremy Jordan (Lucifer Morningstar), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Carmilla Carmine), Patina Miller (Sera), and Jessica Vosk (Lute).  They also will be announced in true Broadway style via the marquee at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood today from 8am – 6pm PT. They join the previously announced main cast including Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christian Borle, and Joel Perez. 

Jaws actor Richard Dreyfuss recently caught a performance of Broadway‘s The Shark Is Broken, the comedy-drama about the making of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 blockbuster. Despite the smile on his face in meet-the-cast photos, he wasn’t very happy.

Prime Video on Saturday unveiled the main cast for its upcoming adult animation series Hazbin Hotel. Broadway’s Beetlejuice star Alex Brightman, who suffered a concussion in an onstage Christmas Eve mishap, will make an unexpected return to the musical tonight for its final performances this weekend. He’ll take the stage for the musical’s Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances, playing the show’s final performance Sunday.

EXCLUSIVE: Modern Family star Ariel Winter has been tapped as the lead of NBC’s multi-camera comedy series Hungry. She succeeds Demi Lovato who had been attached to the project for almost a year but stepped down from acting duties Thursday for scheduling reasons just as the pilot was about to start production.

Demi Lovato was previously announced as the star of the NBC comedy pilot Hungry, but they will no longer be appearing in the project.
