Blair Witch horror franchise is reportedly in the works.It has been announced by Lionsgate film chair Adam Fogelson and Jason Blum of horror production studio Blumhouse that another instalment of the cult classic horror movie series is underway.Beginning with the hugely successful 1999 film The Blair Witch Project, the franchise has already seen two sequels – one in 2000 and a second in 2016. Now, a fourth film is in the works, with 2016’s Blair Witch director Roy Lee to return.The revival is part of a multi film deal between Lionsgate and Blumhouse, which is set to reimagine some of the former’s horror classics.Fogelson and Blum announced the news (via The Hollywood Reporter) at Lionsgate’s CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas on Wednesday (April 10), with Fogelson saying: “I have been incredibly fortunate to work with Jason many times over the years.

There’s a revival of The Blair Witch Project in the works!
Following their collaboration on horror pic Imaginary, Lionsgate and Blumhouse are partnering again, this time to develop and produce a brand new take on The Blair Witch Project. This will be the first film in a multi-picture pact with Blumhouse reimagining horror classics from the Lionsgate library. The announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, and Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse during Lionsgate’s CinemaCon presentation this morning.
Lionsgate and Hasbro have entered into a deal with Barbie producer LuckyChap to shepherd development and produce Monopoly, a feature based on the classic board game. The project is currently in development and Hasbro Entertainment will also produce. The news landed during Lionsgate’s presentation at CinemaCon this morning in Las Vegas.
Expanding their canvas with their John Wick filmmaker even further, Lionsgate has signed a second production deal with Chad Stahelski that will see the filmmaker and his 87Eleven Entertainment label producing original action fare for the studio. It’s a multi-year first look.

Katcy Stephan Lionsgate has closed a deal with “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” director Destin Daniel Cretton to write and direct a live-action film adaptation of the manga classic “Naruto.” The announcement was made today by Adam Fogelson, chair, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. The movie will be based on the manga created by Masashi Kishimoto.
