Pelosi on reason for shift to supporting smaller coronavirus relief: 'New president'

President Trump headed to Palm Beach, Fla., Wednesday to celebrate Christmas with coronavirus relief and government spending in limbo due to his dissatisfaction with the package.  Trump will spend the holiday at his golf club resort Mar-a-Lago.  The president sent shockwaves throughout Washington Tuesday night when he pushed out a Twitter video of himself blasting the omnibus package.

President Trump is right to oppose the new coronavirus relief package, Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said Wednesday, calling it just the latest example of "irresponsible swamp" spending from Washington, D.C.  Trump slammed the recently passed $900 billion COVID-19 relief package as a "disgrace" on Tuesday evening, urging Congress to amend the bill and increase the amount of money in direct payments to Americans.

Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, called it a "no-brainer" Tuesday to oppose the recently passed coronavirus relief package, calling the process behind its passage a disgrace to taxpayers.
