Paul Scholes believes Facundo Pellistri has shown why he deserves more minutes on the pitch after yet another exciting cameo on Thursday's win over Real Betis.
Manchester United took the first step in banishing the demons of Anfield following their 7-0 defeat by responding well in the first leg of their last 16 tie against the La Liga outfit. Erik ten Hag's side emerged 4-1 victors with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Wout Weghorst all getting on the score sheet.
The fourth strike saw Weghort finally get his long-awaited goal at Old Trafford but it was the preceding work from Pellistri that was much more impressive. The Uruguayan winger had only been on the pitch for a matter of seconds when Fernandes picked him out on the edge of the box from a corner, then with three defenders trying to hound him out, he burst past all of them with his blistering pace.

Scholes believes he's done enough to ask for more. "He’s made a case for himself tonight, Pellistri, he looked really quick down that right hand side," Scholes said on BT Sport while analysing the fourth goal. "He goes right round the houses there and still beats them for pace!"
Owen Hargreaves was also left impressed by Pellistri's speed and thinks fans will also want to see more from a winger that offers something different to United's other wide options. "I don’t know," he replied
