Imagine your child rocking up to your house one day with a newborn baby. That’s exactly what happened to one set of grandparents when their daughter popped in for a visit, as new mum Victoria had kept the whole pregnancy a secret.
Victoria quickly skyrocketed into internet stardom with the two viral videos social media app TikTok, which detailed the family’s shocking surprise. She captioned the post: “We kept our baby a secret from family and surprised them with a baby.”
She shared the reactions of the families in two clips - one which has already surpassed 2.4 million views to date and another which has soared past 3.4 million views. The clip showed Victoria walking through the front door with the couple’s new son Tyrion - who was in a car seat.
“Surprise!” Victoria shouted. Clearly stunned, the grandparents of the new tot were speechless and were unable to put their reaction into words, which sparked several comments underneath the video clip.
One person wrote: “Everybody should do what makes them happy, but I would feel betrayed, not trusted.” “Not the reaction I was hoping for,” another said.
Following the series of comments, Victoria explained the couple’s reasoning for keeping the pregnancy a secret in a follow up clip. She explained: “Let’s start with the how - how did I do it? I wore baggy shirts, hoodies and I didn’t hide myself or avoid my family.
“At the end of my pregnancy, I didn’t see my family because they were busy. Why did I do it? I did it because I’ve had five miscarriages that were pretty traumatic.”
She continued: “We also wanted privacy, I didn’t want to be constantly messaged - I don’t like that. I didn’t like the constant messaging with my other pregnancies.
