Paramount Removes ‘Star Trek 4’ From December 2023 Release Date

The season finale will air next month.Last month, Morgan shared a behind-the-scenes look at his and Cohan’s new spin-off Dead City – which will see their characters traverse a zombie-ridden Manhattan, years after the events of the main series.“I’ll say this… it feels like we’re making something special,” he wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

Paramount+ today debuted the official mid-season trailer for season one of its original animated kids’ series, Star Trek: Prodigy. The trailer was introduced by executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman, during the “Star Trek” universe panel at New York Comic Con.

Apple Original Films has dated the run-from-slavery thriller Emancipation for a December 2 theatrical opening, followed by a December 9 release on its Apple TV+ streaming site. This follows the film’s first showing in DC on Saturday, with star Will Smith and director Antoine Fuqua (who flew in from Italy, where he and Denzel Washington are shooting a third Equalizer film) discussed the fact-based film in a screening orchestrated by Apple and NAACP during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Legislative Conference.

Shakman was successfully courted by Marvel Studios to helm its “Fantastic Four” reboot, reuniting the “WandaVision” director with the studio, after “Spider-Man: No Way Home” director Jon Watts left that film in April.

No surprise here as Paramount has temporarily removed Star Trek from its release schedule. The news comes a month after director Matt Shakman exited the project. A search for a new director is underway.

Star Trek fans have come out in their droves to pay tribute to the late Louise Fletcher, celebrating her performance as the villainous Kai Winn in the franchise following her death. In an announcement made by her son Andrew Bick, it was revealed that Fletcher – best-known for playing the dreaded Nurse Ratched in the 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest – had died at the age of 88. The Oscar-winning actress died from natural causes at her home in Montdurausse, France, having acted from the late 1950s up until her most recent on-screen role in the 2017 Netflix series Girlboss.
