Ethan Shanfeld After over a year of being closed due to the pandemic, the Grammy Museum is opening its doors to the public with three new major exhibits starting May 21.“Dave Matthews Band: Inside and Out” will be on view through fall 2021, “Y Para Siempre… Marco Antonio Solis” will be open through spring 2022 and the previously announced “Motown: The Sound Of Young America” will be on display through next winter.

Fans have been waiting more than three decades for a sequel to the 1986 blockbuster “Top Gun” — and thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ll be waiting all the way to November.

On the heels of the first big positive box office news in months, with “Godzilla vs. Kong” showing that maybe, just maybe, North American cinemas are rebounding in time for the summer movie season, Paramount has announced the departure of one of the biggest titles still on the schedule for July— “Top Gun: Maverick.” READ MORE: ‘Godzilla Vs.

In a snap, Universal was ready to backfill July 2 today with its long-awaited Blumhouse sequel The Forever Purge with the news of Paramount/Skydance’s Top Gun: Maverick leaving the July 4th weekend for Nov. 19.

EXCLUSIVE: We can tell you first that Top Gun: Maverick is leaving its July 2 weekend for Nov. 19, taking over the release date where Paramount/Skydance’s other Tom Cruise sequel Mission: Impossible 7 resides. Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible 7 will now open on May 27, 2022, Memorial Day weekend; a holiday frame which has been a home for the franchise for its first 1996 chapter and 2000 sequel. Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible 8 is now opening on July 7, 2023 instead of Nov. 4, 2022.
