Panic! At The Disco have officially announced that their first single in four years, ‘Viva Las Vengeance’, will be released later this week.The now-solo project of Brendon Urie made its return to the spotlight on May 15, when a cryptic website imploring fans to “shut up and go to bed” began to make the rounds. The website hinted that something of substance would be released this Wednesday (June 1), with that something now revealed to be ‘Viva Las Vengeance’.According to a new teaser shared on social media, though, the song itself won’t be the only thing Panic! fans have to look forward to.

Gorillaz have alerted fans to an incoming new single, ‘Cracker Island’, taking to social media to make the announcement.The experimental animated outfit – featuring Blur legend Damon Albarn – shared the news today (June 8), posting a short clip that featured each cartoon “member” of Gorillaz – 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel – alongside the caption “Cracker Island is coming…” and the hashtag #thelastcult.Later, they posted two images – one of 2D and one of the group together – with the caption: “2D is the chosen one…”Though it’s not yet known when ‘Cracker Island’ will drop, a pre-save link for the single can be found here. The track has been performed live during Gorillaz’ current world tour, notably with the inclusion of guest vocals from Thundercat.

At the Disco has debuted new music for the first time since 2018, releasing the first single from their forthcoming seventh studio album, “Viva Las Vengeance” due August 19 via Fueled by Ramen/DCD2 Records. The eponymous title track is an anthemic and upbeat kick-off to the band’s long-awaited new era.The song also received a video supplement, directed by frequent Panic collaborator Brendan Walter (“High Hopes”).In announcing the forthcoming project, the band shared that “Viva Las Vengeance” is a “cinematic musical journey about the fine line between taking advantage of your youth, seizing the day and burning out.” From the perspective of frontman/songwriter Brendon Urie, this album “[takes] an introspective look into his relationship with his decade-plus career including growing up in Las Vegas, love, and fame.” Urie recorded the album using a tape machine in Los Angeles alongside his friends and production partners, Jake Sinclair and Mike Viola (see official tracklisting below).
