Outlander's Sam Heughan joked that Caitriona Balfe is 'awful' as he talked about the new series of Outlander and its positive portrayal of Scotland.
Sam, who plays Jamie Fraser, was chatting to the Golden Globes website when he talked abut his relationship with Caitriona, who plays Claire Fraser on the drama.
He joked: “Oh, she’s awful, to be honest. We know how each other works and how each other thinks. We started together and we’ve been on this long journey together.
"We have each other’s backs. If as an actor you are feeling uncomfortable or something isn’t working, we will work on it together and we will talk to the writer and we will try and work through it.
"She is very thoughtful, she will always approach things with a lot of thought, and then she will go at it 100 percent. I think that’s what is so great and what makes for a perfect scene partner."
Sam also praised the beauty of Scotland which stands in for North America on the show.
He said: “It’s a beautiful looking show and it’s a very unique show,”
“I think the beauty of Scotland is transferred to America.”
He also said of the new series: "Tom Christie uses fear and religion to control others and Jamie is on the other side of that and there’s a real standoff a real power play between the two of them."
