Channel 5 Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has spoken out over "distancing herself from others" before her marriage breakdown. Amanda and Clive split earlier this year. Amanda said this weekend at a Game Fair: "You can lose yourself and distance yourself from everyone and everything.
Once I go out of that door to work, it is back to basics. My home life is busy and chaotic, but my work life is solitary. Too much of each one is not good, but living in a remote place gives me peace and quiet.
"The worst thing about living here is when there’s any kind of emergency. Take last Tuesday, I had everything in place for my mare to foal. On the day, we had no power on the farm due to repairs after Storm Arwen.

You have to be able to cope in an emergency. " Amanda is a mum of nine at Ravenseat. "Unpredictable; I work with lots of variables, so there’s no such thing as a typical day," she continued.
"Challenging; it can be tough to fit everything into my day. Rewarding; there are moments when I think, why the hell am I doing this but overall, it is a very satisfying role. "Ask me that same question on a different day, and the answer might be unprintable!"
