‘One Day In December’: Lucy Boynton To Star In Drake Doremus’ New Netflix Romantic Drama Series

Tom Holland hasn’t appeared on either the big or small screen since the release of “Uncharted” over a year ago. That’s going to change this June with “The Crowded Room,” a new limited series spearheaded by Executive Producer Akiva Goldsman.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Netflix is set to reteam with Anne Bjørnstad and Eilif Skodvin, the creators of the popular crime comedy series “Lilyhammer,” on a new Norwegian program, with the working title “Salmon Island.” The series is set up at leading Norwegian production banner Rubicon and will be helmed by Marit Moum Aune (“Made in Oslo”), who also serves as a conceptual director on the series. “Salmon Island” takes place in a small coastal community in Norway and revolves around two families who are sworn enemies in the global salmon industry. The contemporary series delivers a portrait of the fish farming business, weaving together comedy and drama.

Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor Kelvin Harrison Jr. spent up to six hours a day playing the violin in preparation for his latest film “Chevalier.” The period drama, set before the French Revolution, follows the life of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, also known as Black Mozart. The Searchlight Pictures film also stars Samara Weaving, Lucy Boynton, Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo, Marton Csokas, Alex Fitzalan and Minnie Driver. Speaking with Variety, Harrison Jr. said despite being raised in a musical family (his father was a classical musician and a music teacher) he didn’t know about Chevalier. “I had no clue who he was, but he was pretty bold, and I was blown away by him,” he says.

In this case the affair disrupts and subverts Italian social and family norms. A “Gold Digger” adaptation for Indian audiences is also reportedly in the works. “Inganno,” which means “deceit” in Italian, is being directed by Neapolitan auteur Pappi Corsicato whose “The Seed of Discord” competed at the Venice Film Festival in 2008. Corsicato’s visual style is often compared to Pedro Almodovar, of whom he has been an assistant.

Earlier this month, The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) earned Best Director Oscar and Best Picture statues at the 95th Academy Awards for their fantastic sci-fi film “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” The pic won a total of seven awards at the ceremony, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor went to Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis nabbed Best Supporting Actress.
