It's been one year to the day that Gordon Proctor vanished and hasn't been seen since.
The 65-year-old was reported missing from East Renfrewshire on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
He was last spotted in his hometown area of Netherlee at around 11.15am. But he hasn't been seen or heard from since.
But Gordon's white Renault Kadjar car was found more than 45 miles away in the South Ayrshire village of Turnberry along with some of his personal belongings, police have confirmed.
Officers said today on the anniversary of his disappearance that efforts to establish Gordon’s last known movements continue and officers are providing support and updates to his family.
Gordon is described as being 6ft tall and of slim build with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing a lilac polo shirt, a blue jumper and cream shorts.
Inspector Joanne Logan of Ayr Police Station said: “Despite the passage of time, we would continue to appeal to anyone who may have seen Gordon to get in touch.
“Our thoughts remain with them [Gordon's family] as they prepare to mark this difficult anniversary.
“We will continue to act on any new information we receive and would ask anyone who believes they may have seen Gordon at any time since the early afternoon of Tuesday, 6 July, 2021 to call 101, quoting incident 2460 of July 6, 2021.”
