OK, when Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde‘s nanny dropped her latest bombshell, we were a little skeptical.

Olivia Wilde joked about begging to be "placed into a medically induced coma" during her Don't Worry Darling press tour at ELLE's Women in Hollywood event on Monday. The filmmaker's latest movie was overshadowed by various dramas before its September release, with the headlines speculating if she was feuding with her lead actress Florence Pugh, whether her leading man Harry Styles spat on Chris Pine during the Venice Film Festival, and if she fired Shia LaBeouf from the movie or he quit. During her speech at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, honouree Olivia thanked her fellow women in Hollywood for helping her stay motivated during stressful times.

Olivia Wilde recently gave an interview about her movie “Don’t Worry Darling” that appears to be at odds with earlier comments she’s made about the film’s erotic sex scenes.

Wilde, 38 — who directed the film as well as starring with Pugh — said it’s “shocking” to see “so many untruths traded as fact,” in regards to the behind-the-scenes drama of the highly anticipated flick.Speaking with Ellefor the 2022 Women in Hollywood November issue, Wilde said Pugh made a “wise comment” when she recently quipped that the cast “didn’t sign up for a reality show.”“And I love that she put it that way, because it’s as though the general public feels that if you are making something that you’re selling to the public, you somehow have accepted that your life will be torn to shreds by a pack of wolves,” Wilde continued. “No, that’s actually not part of the job description.

A lot has been said about the “Don’t Worry Darling” sex scenes, but director Olivia Wilde insists there’s much more to the film.

After an unnamed source revealed to Vulture that Olivia and her lead actress were feuding and had screaming matches on set, crew members for the film released a joint statement refuting the claim. In Vulture’s 23 September report, the outlet wrote that an “inside source” saw Olivia and her boyfriend Harry Styles, who stars in the movie as Florence's husband, “just disappear” together while working.

"Don't Worry Darling" did not disappoint at the box office, darling. Olivia Wilde's sophomore release earned $19.2 million domestically, nabbing the top spot across theatrical releases nationwide.
