Allegheny County, Pa., officials on Wednesday clarified that officials were not "taking today off" counting mail-in ballots as voters await election results from the battleground state. New York Times journalist Trip Gabriel on Wednesday tweeted that the county "elections staff is taking today off for 'administrative work' and will not resume count until Friday," citing a quote from Allegheny County councilmember Bethany Hallam and an email from the county.

Military mail-in ballots are still arriving in battleground states such as Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Nevada, even as President Trump and his campaign protest the counting of votes after Election Day.  Trump has argued that ballots received afterward should not be counted and filed lawsuits to stop the tally in states where he says observers haven't been given "meaningful access" to ensure the process is fair.

A California woman who was missing for about two weeks in Zion National Park in Utah has been found and left the park with her family who had feared the worst, authorities said. Holly Suzanne Courtier, 38, of Los Angeles, was found Sunday by search and rescue crews after park rangers received a tip that she had been seen in the park, Zion National Park officials said in a news release.They didn't say where she was found or anything about her condition or what had happened.
