Arcade Fire have spoken about Peter Gabriel and Father John Misty‘s contributions to their upcoming new album, ‘WE’.The Canadian band are due to release their sixth studio effort on May 6 via Columbia Records. It was produced by long-term Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich along with the group’s Win Butler and Régine Chassagne.During a recent interview with the Montreal Gazette, it was noted that Gabriel contributed to a dance-orientated album track called ‘Unconditional II (Race and Religion)’ on which Chassagne takes the lead.“[Gabriel] came to the studio and we had a day to work on it,” Butler told the outlet.

George Ezra has shared his new single ‘Green Green Grass’ and announced details of a UK arena tour.The singer/songwriter is set to release his third studio album ‘Gold Rush Kid’ on June 10 via Columbia Records, marking the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Staying At Tamara’s’.After previously sharing the single ‘Anyone For You (Tiger Lily)’ back in January, Ezra has now previewed ‘Gold Rush Kid’ with the release of the track ‘Green Green Grass’.“I was on holiday in St Lucia with a few friends at Christmas 2018, with two of my closest mates from home,” Ezra explained about the track in a press release. “We were in this beach bar, drinking homemade rum punch and Piton, the local lager, flip-flopping between the two, pissing about with three local guys who worked there.

Sony Pictures has delayed “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” to summer 2023 and will release the Dakota Johnson-starring “Madame Web” and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part II” in 2023 and 2024, respectively.The follow-up to the Oscar-winning fan-favorite “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” will premiere June 2, 2023, shifted back more than half a year from October 7. NEW YORK -- Richard Howard, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet celebrated for his exuberant monologues of historical figures and a prolific translator who helped introduce readers to a wide range of French literature, has died at age 92.Howard, a professor emeritus at Columbia University, died Thursday at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York. His husband, David Alexander, told The Associated Press that he had dementia.Over a 50-year period, Howard’s poetry, essays and translations totaled well over 200 books and established him as a vital literary creator, commentator and interpreter.
