Nine boroughs in Greater Manchester now have coronavirus infection rates lower than the national average, new figures have revealed.
Just one borough - Tameside - has the highest rate in the region and cases above the average across the nation.

In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 867.1 cases per 100,000 population.
The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 985.1 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 24,588 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on January 19.
