The July heatwave wasn’t a one-off, freak weather event - there is another heatwave coming as Brits around the country brace themselves for soaring temperatures in excess of 40C.The second heatwave that will see mercury topping 30C in swathes of the UK, will be a super-heatwave, hot on the heels of July’s scorching temperatures which caused havoc in the UK and in some cases, even tragically proved fatal. According to the New Scientist, approximately 1,000 people may have perished in England and Wales in the previous heatwave, while the double-digit weather also saw roads melting in some areas, causing the country to grind to a standstill. Weather models from July's heatwave where temperatures reached a sweltering high of 40.3 in Lincolnshire, are similar to models predicting August's temperature, forecasting another heatwave is on its way.

Nicki Minaj’s father Robert Maraj in a February 2021 hit-and-run incident has been sentenced to one year in prison.Charles Polevich, 71, struck 64-year-old Maraj while he was walking in the village of Mineola on Long Island, New York.Polevich drove off without calling emergency services and also hid his car. Maraj was taken to a Nassau County hospital where he died.Nassau County police were able to track down Polevich’s vehicle using security footage.  Polevich was arrested and charged three days after the incident.“He’s absolutely aware of what happened,” Nassau Police Homicide Detective Lt.

A man has been charged under the Treason Act after he was arrested while allegedly carrying a crossbow in the grounds of Windsor Castle “with intent to injure” the Queen on Christmas Day, the Crown Prosecution Service said. Scotland Yard said Jaswant Singh Chail, from Southampton, has been charged with an offence under section 2 of the Treason Act 1842.The CPS added he had been charged with “being near to the person of the Queen, wilfully producing a loaded crossbow with intent to use the same to injure the person of Her Majesty”.
