Ironheart TV series will be the first to bring a transgender character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.The TV series coming to Disney+ has already cast Dominique Thorne (Judas And The Black Messiah, If Beale Street Could Talk) as genius inventor Riri Williams in Ironheart, an original series about the creator of the most advanced suit of armour since Iron Man.Now, a casting call seen by POC Culture says the studio is looking for a “Black, Latina or Afro-Latina transgender woman who is around 18-22 years old” to play a character who is “unapologetically nerdy” with a “mystical bent and unique sense of humour”.Ironheart is expected to release in 2023, though no confirmation has been given.Over the years Marvel has slowly introduced LGBTQ+ characters within its universe.Last year, Chloé Zhao’s Eternals film introduced the first openly gay superhero in the MCU with Phastos, played by Brian Tyree Henry. And Loki’s fluid gender identity and bisexuality were confirmed in his popular Disney+ series last year.Tessa Thompson’s character of Valkyrie has also been confirmed as part of the community.

The new hour-long anthology drama follows the lives of three of America’s First Ladies and stars Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt.Zanelli served as composer of films such as “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” and “Christopher Robin,” and he won an Emmy award for his work in the Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks miniseries “Into the West.” He also was nominated for HBO’s “The Pacific,” another Spielberg collaboration.“I’ve had the honor of writing music for ‘The Pacific’ and ‘Into The West,’ both shows about distinct times in America’s history, but nothing as intimate as ‘The First Lady,'” Zanelli said.

Emily Longeretta TLC’s top guilty pleasures are returning this spring. Original docuseries “The Family Chantel,” “I Love A Mama’s Boy,” “Little People, Big World,” “Seeking Sister Wife” and “Welcome to Plathville” are all set to debut in May and June, the network announced on Thursday. Each show averages more than a million viewers per episode.“Little People, Big World” debuts its 23rd season on Tuesday, May 17, at 9 p.m.

Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight” is unlike anything attempted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008’s “Iron Man.” Not only is it Marvel’s first Disney Plus series that doesn’t focus on already established characters, the first four episodes of the show, which Variety has seen, contain not a single spoken reference to the MCU. No one talks about Thanos or the Snap, Spider-Man or Wakanda.
