Every week here at Official Charts we compile our fancy list of single, album and home entertainment releases; bringing you the latest music you need to know about. Let's dive into this week's, shall we?
Big single news this week from Arctic Monkeys, who marked their official return this week with There'd Better Be A Mirrorball - the first single taken from their upcoming album The Car. Returning with a romantic swoon and something the Bond and Bacharach about them, the Arctics are not playing around as they head into one of the biggest chart battles of the year with Taylor Swift.
Elsewhere, The 1975 also unveil another track from the forthcoming Being Funny In A Foreign Language - I'm In Love With You a pleasingly up-tempo belter, slotting in comfortably between If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know) and The Sound, with an accompanying video that serves as a sequel to (the classic) Change Of Heart.
He may have just announced his second solo album Faith In The Future but Louis Tomlinson isn't stopping there - he's just dropped that record's lead single Bigger Than Me, which comes courtesy of production from Mike Crossey (The 1975, Pale Waves, Noah Cyrus). Read more in our exclusive video with Louis here.
Albums-wise this week, pop-punk behemoth Yungblud achieved his first ever UK number 1 album in 2020 with Weird!, can he repeat the trick with his self-titled third studio album? The album's best track, Tissues, sounds massive and contains a sample of The Cure's Close To Me.
Elsewhere, we also have the return of The Amazons on their How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? which carries the distinction of being the first album the Official Charts Company ever approved for NFT inclusion on the Official Albums Chart.
