Accepting the Creative Arts Emmy Award on his behalf was Taylor Simone Ledward, who the actor wed prior to succumbing to his battle with colon cancer in 2020.

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith has paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins during the tribute concert that is taking place at Wembley Stadium today (September 3).The special gig is being held in honour of the late drummer, with appearances from Liam Gallagher, Mark Ronson, Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Supergrass, Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, Kesha, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and more.In a video message between performances, Smith shared a heartwarming story about his friend’s generous nature. “I’d love to tell a story of one of Taylor and I’s many escapades, but those probably wouldn’t be appropriate for this,” he said.

“John Wick” director Chad Stahelski will take his love of assassin films to Warner Bros. as director and producer of the action film “Shibumi,” which now has “Operation Finale” screenwriter Matthew Orton attached to pen the script. New Found Glory‘s Chad Gilbert has confirmed that the procedure “went really well”.The guitarist received treatment for cancer last year, during which he had “half a liver, a gallbladder and one adrenal gland” removed.Gilbert announced this January that he was “cancer-free”, but told his fans on Tuesday (August 16) that he would be having another operation following the discovery of a new tumour on his spine.“I’ll be headed into surgery tomorrow to get almost all of it out then hit what’s left with some fancy radiation,” the musician wrote in a message on social media.He has since shared a follow-up post, writing: “Got out of surgery yesterday afternoon! Things went really well.”Gilbert continued: “They were able to remove almost all of it besides a microscopic amount of tumour that was in the bone. Kelis has welcomed the removal of the ‘Milkshake’ interpolation from new Beyonce track ‘Energy’.An edited version of that track was pushed out to streaming services earlier this week after Kelis criticised the original version.In posts on social media last week, she confirmed that she had not been told that an element of ‘Milkshake’ would appear within ‘Energy’, though the writers of her 2003 hit – Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo – were credited on the Beyonce song, suggesting they had cleared the interpolation.Kelis has criticised Williams and Hugo before, claiming that she was misled back in the day regarding who would be credited on the songs they all collaborated on, and how the copyright in those works would be shared out.It’s not clear why Beyonce decided to remove the ‘Milkshake’ interpolation from ‘Energy’, it may have been more a PR move than the result of any legal concerns relating to Kelis’s complaints. But either way, Kelis is happy that her criticisms were noted by the Beyonce camp.She confirmed this when responding to comments on an unrelated Instagram post, in which Beyonce fans were giving her grief about the re-edit.As noted by Complex, one person commented: “You happy Beyoncé took that sample off?? In terms of modern-day influence on a genre, you would be hard-pressed to find a more influential film than “John Wick.” Since that film’s release in 2014, “John Wick” has gone on to be the film that most action features since have tried to emulate. From the fight choreography to the revenge story to just about everything else, studios and filmmakers have tried to copy (mostly failing) what director Chad Stahelski and his crew were able to do nearly a decade ago.
