Local authorities in Colombia have released new details about the untimely death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
The beloved musician passed away on Friday (March 25) at his hotel in Bogota, Colombia while in town to play a festival with his band.

A press release that was issued by local health officials in Bogota says that an ambulance was sent to the hotel after reports of “a patient with chest pains,” according to Deadline.
The emergency responders tried to resuscitate Taylor. The officials said, “However, there was no response, and the patient was declared deceased.”
After Taylor‘s body was removed from the scene, a candlelight vigil was held outside the hotel.
“The District Department of Health mourns the death of this talented musician and drummer, widely recognized internationally for his work. Besides, the entity sends its message of condolences to the family, colleagues and followers,” Colombian health officials said in a statement.
A cause of death has not yet been released.
