fashion fabulousness to get you through your week? Look no further than the red carpets of Cannes Film Festival 2022, which kicked off on Tuesday and will run until May 28. The event, which was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid and made a partially-masked return in 2021, is back with a bang this year as the red carpet is once again rolled out on the Croisette.

Once again, the Cannes Film Festival is upon us, this time without COVID-19 shutting down the world like it once did, safely back in the month of May where it usually belongs (2020 was canceled altogether, and 2021 ended up being pushed to June). Cannes 2022 is definitely a solid year, with a diverse list of films and filmmakers (though as usual, black and women filmmakers aren’t as well represented as they should be by the organizers).

The Killers have been announced as one of the headliners of Poland’s Open’er Festival 2022.The indie rockers join dozens of acts already announced for the festival, which is held at Gdynia-Kosakowo airport, and will top the bill on July 2.Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Imagine Dragons, Twenty One Pilots, Playboi Carti, Martin Garrix, The Chemical Brothers, Måneskin, Megan Thee Stallion, Glass Animals, Gunna, Clairo, Tove Lo, Little Simz, Jessie Ware, Royal Blood, Years And Years, The Smile and Michael Kiwanuka are all booked for the festival, which runs from June 29-July 2.The Killers previously headlined the 2020 edition of the Polish festival.Open’er Festival is operating in solidarity with Ukraine and says it “will be a place of support for Ukrainians facing the barbaric Russian aggression of their country”.A special initiative “Wspierajmy Ukrainę na koncertach / Support Ukraine at concerts” will take place during the festival to help the actions of Polish Center For International Aid. Red Velvet, EXO’s Suho, Chung Ha and more have been confirmed for MIK Festival 2022, which will take place in London.The one-day event, whose name stands for Made In Korea Festival,  is billed as “the biggest outdoor K-pop festival in Europe ever”.SM Entertainment girl group Red Velvet will top the bill in Southwark Park on July 30, joined by acts including Suho, Chung Ha, Pentagon and Golden Child. Newer artists, such as VIVIZ – the new group from GFriend’s SinB, Eunha and Umji – FNC Entertainment’s Cherry Bullet and rookie girl group Billlie, will also appear.More acts are still to be announced for the festival, which will run from 12pm to 9pm.

Glastonbury has announced the latest line-up for its 2022 festival, with the bill for The Glade area being confirmed today (May 11).Preparations continue for the return of the Worthy Farm festival after two years away due to COVID. 2022’s edition will run from June 22-26 in Somerset.After Glastonbury organisers shared the line-ups for the Common, Left Field and Shangri-La areas last week, the festival has now confirmed the 2022 bill for the dance music-focused Glade.“Spawned from its roots in the Field of Avalon and the Experimental Soundfield of 1992, The Glade has been around and kicking since the year 2000,” a statement on Glastonbury’s website reads about the area.“Always evolving, this year it’s changed up a gear.

Download Festival Japan has revealed the first wave of artists for its 2022 line-up, led by Dream Theater and Bullet For My Valentine.They will be joined by Mastodon, Steel Panther, At The Gates and The Halo Effect on August 14 at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center in Chiba, with more acts yet to be announced.This will mark the first edition of Download Japan since it debuted in the country in 2019. The full Tribeca Film Festival lineup of 109 feature films from 40 countries and 88 world premieres for the 2022 event that takes place June 9-18 has been announced.
