Like the time traveler hero of NBC’s Quantum Leap, we were transported to two different times with the two presentations on the first day of the upfronts. NBC took us back to pre-Covid 2019, pulling out all the stops with an elaborate production at Radio City Music Hall, including an energetic, elaborately choreographed number promoting Bravocon that featured dozens of performers and Bravo stars to rival a top Broadway show. There were a ton of presenters, with Kelly Clarkson performing to open the show and Miley Cyrus singing a medley to close it out.
Several hours later, Fox served a throwback to the virtual upfront events of 2020 and 2021 with a pre-taped presentation that included CEO Charlie Collier going on a tour of the Fox lot. Moving from Fox’s longtime upfront home, the 2,300-seat Beacon Theater, to Skylight on Vesey, the former site of the New York Mercantile Exchange which holds 800, Fox had Covid on their minds with the smaller venue where screens and seating in the round dominated the floorspace.
Because all bits were pre-taped, with occasional flourishes using the multiple screens, when Collier bantered virtually with Gordon Ramsay or Jon Hamm, the Fox presentation could not relay the news that top dramas 9-1-1 and The Resident had closed their renewal deals about an hour earlier and presenter Mayim Bialik announced a comedy series whose deal had not closed in time for the upfront.
The virtual presentation spilled into a live event at the end when Susan Sarandon appeared with Collier on a small stage at the center of the hall and then introduced her Monarch co-star Trace Adkins who performed. The Fox event also had an after-party with food and The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon as DJ.

Bethenny Frankel declared her love for Erika Jayne on Thursday's episode of Watch What Happens Live that was taped before she knew of a crude comment made by the embattled reality star about her late ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields. The 51-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist appeared on the Bravo talk show after Erika, 50, on Wednesday brought up Dennis, who died in 2018, during a discussion with host Andy Cohen, 53, on the Watch What Happens Live After Show. Bethenny previously claimed that she knew Erica's estranged husband Tom Girardi, 82, owed people money, including Dennis, before his embezzlement scandal surfaced in late 2020 and Andy asked Erika to comment.
Julia Fox has her outfit ready for the apocalypse. On Tuesday, the actress shared a gallery of photos grocery shopping at Pavilions, showing a lot of skin. The two-piece set covered all the necessary body parts to enter the store, and she wore a denim coat, with denim boots, and a matching denim purse made out of a pair of pants.
Julia Fox has said that wearing underwear to the supermarket should be "socially acceptable" after a bold outing which saw her do just that. The Uncut Gems actress, who catapulted to fame following a brief romance with rapper Kanye West earlier this year, turned heads earlier as she exited a Los Angeles grocery store in a black and white Alexander Wang lingerie set.The 32 year old added an oversized denim jacket to her look as she strutted along with her trolley full of purchases, in matching ruched denim stiletto knee-high boots.

NEW YORK -- Something was missing Monday when Fox announced its plans for the fall television season — a schedule.Fox Entertainment CEO Charles Collier said that the network was trying a “new approach” and giving equal weight to its Tubi streaming service by not outlining where its shows will air in the fall.Presenting a new schedule to advertisers in May has long been a tradition for television networks, revealing what new shows are coming, what old shows are departing and when they will air during the week and year.Yet while fixed schedules remain, they are in many ways becoming obsolete for viewers, who are becoming accustomed to deciding themselves when they want to watch or stream programs.Asked about that on Monday, Collier did not say that was part of Fox's reasoning. By not announcing a schedule Monday, the kickoff to the week where broadcast networks unveil their plans in flashy New York presentations, Fox has the flexibility to adjust its schedule depending upon what its competitors do.The change might also reflect the fact that Fox has not yet nailed down agreements with producers of the dramas “911” and “The Resident,” two programs the network expects will be on its fall schedule.“We're in good faith negotiations,” Collier said.
