I’m A Celebrity... South Africa winner Myleene Klass is donating all of her £100k prize winnings from the show to charity.The former Hear’Say star – who earlier this month beat celebs including Fatima Whitbread, Jordan Banjo, and Phil Tufnell to take first place as 'Legend' on an all-stars version of the popular reality TV series – revealed the news on her Instagram.
She said: "I am proud to donate my @imacelebrity Prize money of £100,000.00 to @savechildrenuk." The 45 year old went on to talk further about Save The Children UK, adding: "I’ve been an ambassador for 11 years in which time I’ve travelled the globe helping STC.The things I have seen will stay with me forever." She continued by listing a number of touching moments she's experienced in the ambassador role, such as: "children in the Philippines playing by the ships that have run aground from the Tsunami so they can be next to their parents that lay crushed beneath them". And she talked about holding a mum in Nepal as she showed Myleene where she thought her baby was buried, after they died of pneumonia.
In a moment of humour, she added: "I’ve seen for myself, this money will go far.The mouse tails and rotten tofu were worth it." Along with her comments, Mylene posted some sweet images showcasing her work with the charity. A representative for Save The Children UK responded: "Our #legend for the past 11 years.Thank you so much for what you’ve done and are going to do for children.This money is an incredible gift which will support so many families."
